Home Boarding - Terms & Conditions
Please read these terms and conditions fully before booking your dog in for home boarding.
You recognise and accept that all boardings will take place alongside our own resident dog, and that a successful introduction meeting must take place before your first boarding.
Your dog is not listed within the following breeds (including being a cross-breed derivative):
- Bull Terrier
- Staffordshire Bull Terrier
- Wolf Hybrid
- Less than 14 days notice: You pay 50% of the total booking fee.
- Less than 7 days notice: You pay 100% of the total booking fee.
You are solely responsible for transporting your dog to and from The Dog's Bed premises at the agreed times.
You will supply all necessary dog food and treats for the duration of the stay. If additional food or treats are required you agree, upon presentation of receipt, to refund The Dog's Bed in full.
You must give a minimum of 24 hours notice of any changes to your dog's health (including medications) or behaviour. Failure to do so may result in your booking being cancelled with the full fee being payable by you.
Your dog should be presented for boarding in a clean condition, with up-to-date vaccinations, worm and flea treatment.
Your dog must be at least 12 months of age before being presented for home-boarding.
Your dog must not be subject to the terms of the Dangerous Dogs Act of 1991, or have a history of unprovoked aggression issues towards other dogs or people.
No dogs with separation anxiety will be accepted for home-boarding. (Defined as any dog which howls, chews, barks, or toilets when left alone.) Any dog that exhibits such signs of separation anxiety during its stay will not be invited back for subsequent visits.
Reasonable efforts will be made to contact you or your emergency contact in the event of an emergency. However, The Dog's Bed reserves the right to make decisions regarding your dog's health provided it is at all times acting in the best interests of the dog and on the advice of a veterinary surgeon.
All reasonable care will be taken for the wellbeing and safety of your dog(s) while they are boarded in our home. However, under the terms of this contract, you agree that your dog(s) is/are boarded at your own risk and you agree to absolve The Dog's Bed of all responsibility and liability for illness, injury, or death of your dog in the absence of gross negligence.
You agree to pay fully for any damage caused by your dog to the property or furnishings contained within the premises of The Dog's Bed during your dog's stay.
You accept that your dog will be residing within a normal home environment and, as such, may be left for up to three hours per day to allow for everyday events such as shopping, appointments, etc.
You agree that an additional charge (£5.00 per machine wash) may be levied in the event that your dog's bedding or other necessary item(s) needs to be washed as a result of its own soiling.
You agree that if you permit The Dog's Bed to exercise your dog off the leash you accept full liability for any loss or damage caused as a result of the dog being off leash. In the event that your dog attacks a person or a dog or in the event that he or she is involved in a fight with another dog/person causing any damage or injury you agree to be responsible for any losses incurred including payment of veterinary fees or any other medical treatment required.
You undertake to make full disclosure of any quality or characteristic which might make your dog unsuitable for home boarding, including, but not limited to: behavioural or health problems, anti-social behaviour including aggression, incontinence/lack of house-training or excessive loud barking or whining. Failure on your part to disclose any matter which might render the dog unsuitable for home boarding will be deemed a material omission amounting to a fundamental breach of this agreement. You will also be liable for any additional costs if The Dog's Bed experiences difficulties due to failure to disclose any matter that would be accepted as reasonably unsuitable for home boarding.
Should your dog require any veterinary treatment during his or her stay, you are responsible for all vet's fees incurred.
You agree to pay for services provided by The Dog's Bed in full, and in accordance with the terms of the invoice.
In the event that you collect your dog earlier than specified on your booking with fewer than seven days notice given, you will be charged for the full booking period.
